Security+ Certified!
Some of you know already, but I passed the CompTIA Security+ exam last week. I'm excited. I'm hoping that this will help in my quest to find a job in network security closer to home in Ohio. It's the not the greatest of certifications, but it's a good start to show that I'm seriously interested in IT security and that I know a thing or two about it, too. My next certification that I'm setting my sights on is the GCED from the Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC).

OSSIM
While I'm waiting for some papers to print for my wife, I came across this cool security solution. I don't have time to properly evaluate it, but it looks like a neat package of open source tools for monitoring your network activity and security. I'll try and add more later.
